My Reaction To The Big News

Aqib Talib is going to miss 1 game with suspension. Week 1 is always the hardest game to project anyway, teams are sometimes rusty, jittery, feeling each other out, getting back in a rhythm and geting their first chance to see new players in real action. The Browns’ top receivers will likely be Mohamed Massaquoi, Chansi Stuckey, and Ben Watson. There’s some upside for the first two, considering accuracy, protection and chemistry weren’t there last year and those guys are a year older. I wish Talib were playing but guys often miss 1-2 games in a season.

Derrick Ward thanks Bucs, says Tampa Bay experience was “great”

Talib’s suspension will cause shuffling in Bucs’ secondary

With Aqib Talib now suspended for the season opener, the Bucs are left scrambling to figure out the fallout in their secondary.

Here's what's likely to happen. For one, the Bucs probably will keep an extra cornerback on their final roster -- at least for Week 1 -- because Talib will temporarily be on the Suspended List and not subject to the 53-man maximum until he returns.
