The Bucs will be blacked out again.
Sunday’s game against the Chargers at Raymond James Stadium has fallen short of the sales threshold required to lift a local television blackout, the team said. As a result, television markets within 75 miles of the stadium will not air the game.
The Bucs, after taking advantage of a new NFL rule this season, must sell 85 percent of non-premium seats in order to lift the blackout.
The team said on Monday that nearly 9,000 more of those seats needed to be sold before the threshold could be reached. Only one game this season -- against the Saints -- has been shown on local television.
