Dungy will keep tabs on Vick

Former Colts and Bucs coach Tony Dungy is the official mentor to Michael Vick as the former Falcons quarterback tries to get his life and career in order.
Commissioner Roger Goodell said Monday as part of Vick's conditional reinstatement to the NFL, Dungy will report Vick's progress to the league.
It's a role Dungy planned to play in Vick's life anyway.
"What I am going to do with Michael is what I've done with him since I visited him at Leavenworth,'' Dungy told Sports Illustrated. "I gave him my telephone numbers and I said, "Call me anytime. I want to stay in touch and that's what we've done.'
"And this is what I do anyway. I talk to a lot of my former players and to other men coming out of prison, and keeping in touch with Michael is something I planned on doing anyway.''
Dungy said he will stay in touch with Vick mostly by telephone but likely will also visit him at his home in Virginia.
"I've told Michael, 'My hope is that you play again, but if you don't, I really don't care. It's more important that you get your life right,'" Dungy said.
