The DC Is Gone. Long Live The DC!

Raheem Morris is not pleased with tackling in the secondary, but he'll have time to work on it in the offseason.
In one of the smartest moves they could make, the Buccaneers have named Raheem Morris as the new defensive coordinator effective at the end of the season.
This will be immensely popular with the defensive players right away and, I believe, add some life to a defense that seems to have lost some of its zip over the course of this season.

Even though Morris’s secondary has been a weak spot this season, this is the best hire they could make for this position without making wholesale changes across the board. The players on this team were drafted and signed to play the Cover 2 and most of them have the physical skills to excel in that system (except for you, Buchanon.) Morris’s roots from Mike Tomlin to Monte Kiffin make it almost certain that the general defensive scheme will be the same.

And for those of you who are still interested in Kiffin after he leaves Tampa Bay, I’ll be keeping up with him in Tennessee and posting relevant updates whenever they come up.
