Earnest Graham with his family. No jokes here because I don't want to go to jail.
We have all heard how important family is to Earnest Graham. He has often spoken about how much his family helped him out when he was struggling with his football career and how he now is able return those favors now that he has found some success. So it’s no surprise that he let his brother’s girlfriend and daughter live with him and his family for six months while they got a place of their own to live, which Earnest also contributes to. The reason those arrangements have to be made is because Earnest’s brother, Brandon, is in jail for 70 months for dealing cocaine. Before Brandon was sentenced, Earnest wrote a letter to the judge on behalf of his brother. Not to ask for a lighter sentence… a harsh one.

Earnest wrote the judge who sentenced Brandon, urging a harsh-enough sentence to give Brandon time needed to embrace a second chance.

“I wanted the judge to understand who Brandon was, the mistakes he made,” Graham says. “I wasn’t going to write in and ask for a break for my brother. We have to answer for what we do.

“Even though he was convicted of dealing drugs, he wasn’t much different from the guy doing drugs. His freedom was something he needed taken away.

None of that “go easy on him” shit for Earnest. That takes some balls to not just refrain from pleading with the judge for leniency, but to proactively tell the judge that your brother needs some real prison time. Earnest told him that one day he’d get him back for eating the last slice of pizza. The lesson here: Don’t fuck with Earnest Graham — he doesn’t forget.
