Kicker Matt Bryant and linebacker Derrick Brooks were recognized by the league for their emotional performance in Sunday's 30-21 win over Green Bay Sunday.
Bryant was named the NFC's Special Teams Player of the Week and Brooks was recognized as the Defensive Player of the Week.
Bryant, who played just one day after the funeral for his 3-month-old son, Tryson, made all three field goal and extra point attempts. Bryant's 23-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter proved to be the game-winner.
Brooks had an interception, forced a fumble that was returned for a touchdown by safety Jermaine Phillips, three passes defensed, five tackles and two tackles for a loss.
"We played well as a team and a defense last week and it's very humbling for me to win this award,'' Brooks said.
"I was just a lot healthier. For the past couple weeks, I had been out there basically giving them what I had and that was less than 100 percent. I was a lot healthier this past week and the opportunity presented itself for me to make more plays and I did. If I'm out there fully healthy, I'm going to make plays.''
