Favre To Jets, Ordeal Over

It’s official: Brett Favre is a member of the Jets. Although ESPN kept saying that the Bucs were projected as the favorite, they never stood a chance to the Jets. Quite simply, Favre didn’t want to play for Tampa. He had already refused to speak with them, and he told his agent to go ahead and contact the Bucs, but only because no other team had contacted him. He was giving up, basically settling for the Bucs, with no real intention to play for them, rather joining them because they were his last option. Brett Favre is a legend, but the Bucs can do without. If Favre doesn’t want Tampa, then Tampa doesn’t want him.
