Greg White Isn’t Going To Win This One

According to the Tribune, Greg White still hasn't signed the contract he was offered several month ago.
White is an exclusive-rights free agent, meaning Tampa Bay is the only team that can negotiate with him. The Bucs offered White a contract of $370,000 in February, a slight improvement on the $285,000 base salary he earned last season. White never signed that offer.
White is looking for something better, but I just don't see Bruce Allen pulling the original offer and making it any better. There's too much decent competition at defensive end for him to be any more valuable at this point. Now, if Marques Douglas, Jimmy Wilkerson and Charles Bennett all go down early in camp with mysterious knee injuries or someone mistakenly puts bear traps in front of all their front doors sometime soon, Allen would probably up the offer considerably to get him into camp and keep him happy. But other than that, White either has to sign or stay home. He has no leverage to make any other move.
