There's a good piece about Jeff Faine over at the Orlando Sentinel. One of the things you'll take away from the interview is that Faine has a short temper. First he talks about how he would get into scraps with Chris Hovan during Bucs/Saints games.

"There definitely were some words passed between the two of us during those games -- and a lot of it from my end," Faine said recently. "But it was good. I enjoyed it. And I bet he enjoyed it, too."

Then he talks about how he would get into scraps with his own teammates during training camp.

"There probably wasn't a set of two-a-days last year [with the Saints] that I didn't get in a fight," Faine said.

Again, he smiled.

"It was great."

I'm pretty sure that if the interview continued, he'd talk about how he and his mom would settle arguments about his curfew by seeing who could knock the other one out first. This is the kind of guy I've been wishing for at center for years.

Speaking of the Saints, there's a good chance I'll be on a Saints podcast (one that's associated with a real TV station and everything) this week talking about the Bucs. I think it's live, so when I get the call-in information, I'll post it so you guys can flood their call center with the appropriate pro-Bucs sentiments.
