Here is what has been going on with the Bucs the past couple of days, in non-Favre related news.
- Jeff Garcia was carted off the field today. It was reported that he had ice on his calf, and was walking with a noticeable limp.
- For the third time in six seasons, Torrie Cox has torn his ACL. He was placed on the injured reserve list today, and is out for the season.
- Joey Galloway is still not practicing, as he is nursing a groin injury.
- Jeff Faine, B.J. Askew, and Sabby Piscitelli were held out of practice today with injuries.
- Despite the injury, Sabby Piscitelli is looking so impressive, that Jon Gruden is trying to create different defensive schemes, just so Piscitelli can get some playing time.
- Dexter Jackson, Micheal Spurlock, and Clifton Smith have been returning kicks.
- The Bucs have signed fullback Carl Stewart.
- Michael Clayton wanted to be better, and so far, he has been. Clayton could be in a four-way battle for starter.
- Greg White is appearing to have no trouble in his switch to left end.
- Luke McCown is still impressing people, and could get some first-string reps, depending on the seriousness of Garcia’s injury.
