Three More Guys You Don’t Know Got Cut

Add Charles Spiller, Amarri Jackson and Carl Stewart were all cut yesterday, too, bringing the total body count to seven as of right now. I think I miscounted yesterday. It looks like now they're down to 86 players. Chris Simms has to be one of them, and I think Jake Plummer is also still officially on the roster, so they need another four scrubs off the team before training camp. If they want to be nice, they'll cut them all before the weekend so they have a chance to land somewhere else before camps open. Except for Simms. They might not want to be as nice to him.

Spiller was a wide receiver that was so unimpressive that I never even made a tag for him, Stewart was never going to break in to the backfield, and Jackson was the guy who was well-publicized earlier this week for fumbling a catch and almost getting scored on. Besides, he plays the same position and has the same last name as the Bucs' second round pick. That would start to get confusing for people like us who report on them, and that's what's really important.

This is Amarri Jackson, except now he doesn't have the jersey. Or the helmet. And he's not on the Bucs practice field. And he's not smiling anymore.
