Player Interviews Consolidated

The minicamp was a good time for media folk to get some one-on-one time with some Bucs players and bank the interviews for release during this dead period between minicamp and real camp. Here are some of them, along with the money quote for each one.
"I need to obviously elevate my play. ... But I think that we have enough, barring injury and with a little bit of luck, to get it done."
[No, see, you can't count on luck as a strategy. If you can't get it done without a little bit of luck, you need better players.]
"I've got no regrets at all about coming here," said June, who missed the playoff game after suffering a broken foot the week before. "I watch a Derrick Brooks in his 14th year coming into meetings with a notepad. I'm like, 'What are you writing?' It's the same speech, the same defense, the same coordinator ... and he's still taking notes. That's what amazes me the most - the will of this defense to get better."
[That's nice, but I always read stuff about "no regrets" as a polite way of saying that they screwed up. I really hope June sticks around; his time will come as a dominant player in this defense if he just hangs on.]
"The safety, that was bad. No question."
"I love it out here. I love the fans. I love the coaches. I love the staff. I respect offensive line coach Bill Muir."
[Bill Muir not feeling the love?]
"I'm going to fight for a starting job," Piscitelli said.
"Oh, no doubt. Hands down," Williams said. "I'm playing this season."
[Williams will start the season on the PUP; I can almost guarantee it.]
