Earnest Graham Is Playing Nice

In what was a pretty big surprise, Earnest Graham turned out for the Fanfast on Saturday and spoke with Pewter Report about why he has been absent from the OTAs so far.
"I always have," said Graham. "Last year I didn't [make] any OTAs, but as far as workouts I made like 13, so I've always worked out on my own. It's not anything against our team. I just always kind of have, even when I was an insignificant player. You know what I'm saying? That's just something I've always done.""I won't say anything as far as contract but I love this organization," said Graham. "I've been a part of it for five years. There is mutual respect on both sides. I feel good about them, and they feel the same about me. I think those two things will lead to [a new contract] getting done."
I find it hard to believe that this strategy to be nice and not talk about his contract is coming from his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. Rosenhaus, the king of cockbags, loves causing a scene and making problems in order to get his point across. At some point, someone must have made Graham aware that Rosenhaus was primarily responsible for Errict Rhett's career kamikaze move of holding out and allowing other running backs to move ahead of him. It also doesn't take much deductive reasoning to surmise that the quiet guys are the ones getting the new contracts so far.
"Of course we happen to be talking about the contract, and hopefully it will get done at some point. I'm a happy person, man."
It's funny, that's what Chad Johnson (also a Rosenhaus client) is saying now that he realizes nothing is going to change for him this season.
"I was in a good mood yesterday (Thursday). I'm happy. I don't have anything to be mad about."
Is that how Rosenhaus works? "Tell everyone you want a new contract and hold out of OTAs." Then two months later, "Oh, that's not working? Do the opposite then." How is it that none of his clients have run his head through a laundry mangle yet?
