Rookie Talib Seems Ready to be a Starting CB in 2008

From the looks of it, first-round draft choice Aquib Talib could very well be a starting corner come opening day for the Bucs. The St. Petersburg Times reported that Talib has been taking first-teams reps with the Bucs during practices. “He’s going to be the face of this franchise,” coach Jon Gruden said Friday. Talib had better play well his rookie season, as last year the Bucs allowed just 170.5 yards per game in the air, the best in the league. With Ronde Barber and Phillip Buchanon, the team appears to have a good shot at being very good again in the secondary.
