Joe Jurevicius had another surgery this offseason to repair damage done to his knee when he was blocking for Mike Alstott and Alstott accidentally ran into him... almost five years ago.

The original injury to Jurevicius' right knee occurred in a collision with Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammate Mike Alstott in a game in 2003.

"I think anytime you run into the A-train, it's not a good thing," Jurevicius said. "It was a pretty gruesome injury. I was blocking for him. Somebody tripped him up, and he kind of flew into my knee from the blind side. He jammed his neck, and I blew up my knee. It's why Mike Alstott retired, basically."

I totally know how he feels. One time I hit my elbow against a kitchen counter real hard and it got that tingly feeling in it for like ten full minutes. Seriously. No one was there with me, either. I could have died.

See that orange pretzel between Ray Lewis and Chris McAlister? Fact: Jurevicius is composed of 75% scrap iron.
