Gradkowski Glad To Be Gone

Bruce Gradkowski spoke with the St. Louis Post Dispatch about his time with the Buccaneers and how things are going for him now.
"I kind of wanted something to happen," he said. "I had two years there, but I knew as an opportunity, that wasn't the spot for me right now as a young guy. I was happy to get out of there."
You're welcome.
... the Rams' offense "is pretty much totally opposite of what I ran in Tampa."
Yeah, that's gonna hurt. The Bucs' West Coast Offense has a lot of short and intermediate throws and emphasizes ball control. The Rams like to stretch the field with the deep ball. You remember Gradkowski's deep ball, right?
Rams coach Scott Linehan huffed on a rag soaked in paint thinner and then said this:
"He has a real live arm and has a good, athletic presence to him."
Does "live" mean something different in St. Louis than it implies everywhere else? When I hear someone has a live arm, I think he means "strong" arm. There's 14 games of film on this guy; Linehan has got to have seen that Gradkowski missed wide open receivers on deep routes. He might be able to heave the ball 60 yards if he really puts his mind to it, but there's no way the ball lands in the field of play.
Bruce Gradkowski and Brock Berlin will be battling to see who can be the third string quarterback with the funniest name. This is the photo the Post Dispatch ran with the story. I wonder who they're behind in this race.
