Garcia Is Gonna Be Piiiiiiiissed

The Buccaneers handed out a five year extension today. Guess who it was to. Go ahead... you'll never fucking guess.

Economos was an exclusive-rights free agent, which meant that he could not negotiate with another team.

He was just hanging around out there. No contract, no negotiating power, no nothing. But no one ever heard a peep out of him. And now he's got a five year contract. We don't know the amount it's for yet, but it's a pretty safe bet that it's for more than the minimum, and enough to make him happy for at least a few of those five years. Meanwhile, Jeff Garcia is all over the airwaves talking about being mistreated and disrespected and unappreciated and how he wants a new contract commensurate with his importance to the team. And the fullback and the long snapper are the first ones to get contracts.

At some point, Garcia has to figure out that he is really just Bruce Allen's ball of yarn to bat around whenever he gets a little bored. Bruce Allen is the fucking king.
