Gruden: Plummer Is Done

The Buccaneers did all they could but in the end, it didn’t matter. Head coach Jon Gruden tells the St. Pete Times he’s giving up on Jake Plummer. The Bucs traded for the quarterback last year but Plummer told the team he was retiring. After trying to talk him out of retirement, Gruden says he’s moving forward without him. Gruden says the team is still talking to free agent defensive tackle Rod Coleman. The sticking point appears to be money.
