Steve Wyche Is Blunt

This interview of Arthur Blank by Steve Wyche is awesome. Wyche knows he has the backing of the entire city after the bullshit the Falcons put the fans through last year, so he doesn't care what he asks or how he phrases it. Here are some of the questions he asks:
Q: What have you learned about the Dimitroff-Smith approach and how does that jibe with the formula of franchises that are consistently competitive?Q: So they do the things the Falcons haven't done.
Q: You said that you are not a patient person, but are you prepared to go through a rebuilding phase and possibly another sub-.500 season?
Q: Your quarterback situation isn't the best in the NFL right now ...
Q: If the No. 3 pick isn't a marquee player and you enter next season with no "face of the franchise," how do you get fans' interest?
After I read it, I was going to lavish praise on Wyche for not sugarcoating anything and just asking the tough questions But then I wondered if, say, Rick Stroud or Roy Cummings were to ask the same questions of Joel Glazer if I would be as complimentary. And I really don't know. If the Bucs had gone through everything that the Falcons went through, maybe. I might think their near-constant negativity was warranted since the franchise was falling apart and at that point, negative might be synonymous with objective.
Or maybe not and I'm just a huge hypocrite. I can live with that.
