Pretty sure this has been in the actual newspaper, but since it was never posted here, figured I would share.
The NFL announced the top 25 earners of performance-based pay today and Bucs Tanard Jackson and Donald Penn cracked the list.
The system awards bonus money to low-salaried players based on their playing time. The lower the salary, the higher the potential bonus. Jackson, a fourth-round pick out of Syracuse, started all 16 regular-season games at safety and earned $278,227 -- fifth-most in the league. Penn, who was undrafted, filled in for injured Luke Petitgout at left tackle for the season's last 13 games. He earned $245,531 and was 19th on the list.
Steelers tackle Willie Colon topped the list with $309,534.
