Gruden Talks Up Cadillac

During Pat Kirwan's recent interview with Jon Gruden, he addressed Cadillac Williams's injury and his progress.
"The injury that he received took a lot out of this guy emotionally. It's been well documented that not only next season, but his career may have been in jeopardy. Well Buc fans, hear this. I sit in my office and look out my window and what I see is my guy pounding the steps at Ray Jay. It's like a Rocky movie. It gives me goosebumps and excites all the guys. I like Warrick Dunn and am happy to have Earnest Graham and Michael Bennett, but he's the type of guy that you build a franchise around."
You have to hand it to Gruden for his loyalty. If he likes you, he'll stick with you through all kinds of bullshit. Just ask Michael Clayton. Graham had better be given a fair shake at the starting spot this season, though. He certainly earned at least the opportunity to compete for it with his performance last year.
Gruden also made this interesting admission about the offensive line as of late:
"I'm real excited to put [Jeff Faine] between my two young guards. For the first time in a long time, we're excited about the middle of our line. I love Davin and Sears is a mauler. He's eating guys alive out there."
As complimentary as Gruden was of John Wade prior to Faine's signing, it doesn't sound like he's all that sad to see him go.
