Bucs Sign Bennett

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got themselves some insurance for their running game as they signed Michael Bennett on Friday; as usual, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. With the prospect of RB Carnell “Cadillac” Williams being likely to spend at least the early part of next season recovering from a torn patellar tendon, Bennett should expect an increased role with the team. He also provides that breakaway speed which they do not have with their other RB, Earnest Graham. After being acquired from the Kansas City Chiefs, Bennett ran for 189 yards on 41 carries and a touchdown; he also caught 5 passes for 54 yards and a score.
