Bucs to Look at Backup QB’s in Free Agency

 

The Bucs will be looking at experienced backup QB’s this offseason, and Sunday’s St.Pete Times threw out a couple of names that might be on the Bucs wish list to back up Jeff Garcia once free agency kicks off. One name that the paper dangled out there is Raiders QB Daunte Culpepper, who had a rather forgettable one season with Oakland. He threw for 1,331 yards and five TD’s with five picks in 2007.

Bears QB Rex Grossman, who is a free agent, may get a look, as could Bears QB Brian Griese, who was okay when he was with the Bucs. Another QB that could be on the Bucs radar is Chad Pennington of the Jets, who may wind up on the streets if the team decides to go with Kellen Clemens as their starter in 2008.
