Defensive Player of the Year

Continuing our Awards show, it is now time to announce the recipient of the Defensive Player of the Year Award. This award goes to the Buccaneer who played the best on defense.
And the Atop the Crow’s Nest Award for Defensive Player of the Year goes too:
Barrett Ruud!
Leading a tough Buccaneers defense in tackles, Ruud highlighted his sophomore year by being the leader on a veteran defense. He was one of only 20 NFL players to record 100 or more tackles, finishing the season with 114. He also forced 3 fumbles, and had 2 interceptions, the first of his career. He was also the NFL Defensive Player of the Month for the month of September. Despite the numbers, it was his leadership that helped the Buccaneers defense to become the number 2 defense in the league. Congratulations, Mr. Ruud!
