The Buccaneers are setting up a news conference for tomorrow, in which fullback Mike Alstott is expected to announce his retirement. If Alstott retires tomorrow, he will leave as the Bucs all-time leader in touchdowns (71), and rushing touchdowns (56). He would have the second most rushing yards in Bucs history, with 5,088, trailing James Wilder (5,957). The fan-favorite for many years, Alstott defines what it is to be a Buccaneer. During the summer, former Bucs coach Tony Dungy said about Alstott:

“There was a time when it wasn’t popular to be a Buccaneer, and Mike made it cool to be a Buccaneer.”

There will be more to come on this when there is more news available.
