With his contract set to expire later this month, the Buccaneers hope to re-sign defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin. According to reports, Kiffin could be pursued by his good friend Pete Carroll if Carroll gets a head coaching job in the NFL. Kiffin made about $1.7-million last season. Meanwhile, running backs coach Art Valero has left the Bucs to become the assistant head coach with the St. Louis Rams. Valero told the St. Petersburg Times that he often butted
heads with head coach Jon Gruden.
