Garcia Day-to-Day

While it appears certain that Buccaneers quarterback Jeff Garcia will be a gametime decision, a glimmer of good news came out of Bucs’ camp: Garcia, in a limited fashion, participated in Friday’s practice session. He had missed the previous three days with back issues, so this is somewhat good news for Bucs head coach Jon Gruden.Gruden told Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune, “He’s not 100 percent but he’s closing in on being well enough to play. It’s a matter of when he’s ready to go out and go, and Friday was a step in that direction.” Assuming that Garcia is unavailable, it looks like reserve QB Luke McCown will be behind center on Sunday.
