Happy (Belated) Matt Bryant Day!

Since I wasn’t working here on the actual day, I want to wish everyone a belated Happy Matt Bryant Day. On October 23, 2006, Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio announced October 23rd Matt Bryant Day, in honor of his 62-yard game winning field goal that gave the Bucs the upset victory against the Philadelphia Eagles on October 22, 2006. The 62 yarder was the second longest field goal in NFL history, falling one yard short of the 63 yard record, held by Jason Elam and Tom Dempsey.

It is a day we should all celebrate as Bucs fans, and I want to wish a Happy day to everyone. Next year we’ll throw a party.
