Bucs to announce roster move

   The Bucs have scheduled a 5:30 p.m. conference call with general manager Bruce Allen to announce a roster move.

   Chances are it involves the Bucs' attempt to acquire a running back. Perhaps not. The player who is most expendable for trade continues to be quarterback Chris Simms. Given all the injuries and ineffectiveness of quarterbacks around the league, there should be some interest in Simms.

   But stayed tuned for more updates.
