Bucs Put Sixth Rounder On The Table For Moore

According to the Tribune, the Bucs have offered their sixth round pick in 2008 to Minnesota for Mewelde Moore, who was originally a fourth rounder in 2004. The Vikings want more (again, no pun).
The Bucs have supposedly offered a sixth-round draft pick. The Vikings are holding out for a first-day pick. If the deal goes down, look for Tampa to surrender something like a fourth or fifth.
Bruce Allen's sixth round picks really burn holes in his pockets. Is six his unlucky number or something? He traded one away for Tim Rattay and another away for Luke McCown. He tried to get rid of next year's with that weird linebacker trade earlier this year but that guy (whose name I won't bother to look up) didn't make the team, so he's still got it. But not if he can help it!
I guess a sixth rounder for Moore isn't such a bad deal, but I still don't see the need. They took all that time to work with Kenneth Darby, you'd think they could at least put him in for a game or two to see how he does. It's not like Moore is going anywhere. Except maybe the mall (see below). But anything more than that is a bad trade. This year's fourth and fifth round picks (Tanard Jackson and Greg Peterson) are already paying off big time. Does Allen really think he's going to get the same level of production out of Moore?
