It's not time to panic, but the Bucs are reaching for the button.

One day after losing Cadillac Williams to a season-ending torn patellar tendon in his right knee, the Bucs have contacted former Patriots running back Corey Dillon, according to a report on ESPN.

Dillon, who asked for and received his release from the Patriots in the off-season, has decided to remain retired.

Why stop there? The rumors are already floating about the Bucs talking Tiki Barber out of retirement. The only problem with that is the Giants own his rights. Then there is that rather lucrative deal he signed with NBC.

Or how about Ricky Williams? He applied for reinstatement to the NFL on Monday.

For all the lip service about Michael Pittman and Earnest Graham, you get the feeling the Bucs aren't really feeling that good about their running back situation.

It's a shame, too. Cadillac Williams was playing well before the injury, which could take more than a year to completely heal. So don't assume Williams will be ready at the start of next season.
