Here's a blast from the past. Remember Mike Williams, the 2005 10th overall draft pick of the Lions and Tampa native?
Well, you may have heard he was waived by the Raiders on Tuesday. He should have cleared waivers by now that league business is wrapped up for the day, meaning he is a free agent.

While “The Exorcist” was named the scariest film of all time, I can only laugh at how a girl turning her head 360 degrees and spewing pea soup is considered scary. Rather, this is something that really gives me nightmares.
Read the rest of this story »It's official: cornerback Torrie Cox is done for the season, his knee injury prompting the Bucs today to move him to injured reserve.
The Bucs also released receiver Chad Lucas who was thought to be an option succeed Cox as kick returner. His hesitancy as a returner in Cox's absence Sunday probably didn't help his cause though.
Read the rest of this story »Cornerback Torrie Cox (knee) was placed on injured reserve, ending his season, and wide receiver Chad Gessner was signed to the active roster, the team announced in a news release. Wide receiver Chad Lucas was released.
The team also signed cornerback Darrell Hunter to the practice squad and released wide receiver Derrick Hamilton from the practice roster.
The list of 2008 Hall of Fame hopefuls was released yesterday and, at 124, sure has a lot of names on it. Wow. You'd think that if a guy is even being considered for the Hall that he'd be a player whose accomplishments are well known and someone who really made an impact on the game. Most of these guys... not so much.

Gessner's not going to return kicks or anything like that, so chances are he'll dress and work on punt coverage teams on Sunday and be available just in case one of the real receivers gets hurt.

If you're a regular to Buc 'Em, you know that I havent been posting as much lately. I along with my fiance recently purchased a house (last wednesday), so its been crazy with the negotiating, signing papers, and moving our belongings process. Saturday the Comcast Guy (Hooray) is coming out to turn on the high-speed internet!!!! I hope to be fully operational by monday. I'll be posting between now and then, it just wont be as in-depth (but then my posts arent usually too in-depth any way) ...... I just wanted to apologize for the lack of coverage and efforts I've been putting forth. Remember you can always post ideas or news you'd like to discuss in the diary section of this site. Read the rest of this story »Rabih Abdullah is in heap big trouble today after being charged with felony corruption by threat against a public servant, trespassing and resisting arrest without violence. It seems the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino has a lifetime ban on Abdullah, who decided to show up anyway. When a tribal police officer tried to escort him out, Abdullah threatened him.
