Sabby Is Out For The Season

... but not out of our hearts. Sabby Piscitelli broke his right foot after bravely playing special teams during the Rams game. He's one of the most... *sniff* I said I wouldn't cry. He's one of the most courageous men I've ever had the privilege of stalking. The team won't be the same without his glowing presence and his... his... *runs away sobbing*

Nah, not really. That was for Ski who thinks I'm gay for Piscitelli. I'm not, of course. I had a whole big thing worked out where I would gayly (that can't possibly be the way to spell the adverb version of "gay", can it?) defend that position, but since there's been enough homoeroticism on this site lately to fill a small off-Broadway theatre, we'll just leave it at that. The fact is that since Jermaine Phillips is playing so well and Kalvin Pearson is a capable backup, they don't have a pressing need for Piscitelli right now. I don't like the fact that Phillips doesn't have his eventual replacement breathing down his neck to provide added incentive anymore, but I'd like to think that Raheem Morris is supplying all the inspiration he needs. Piscitelli was doing well on special teams, but with Torrie Cox coming back next week, that hole will also be filled soon.

Get your mind out of the gutter.

To fill the roster spot that Piscitelli vacated by going on injured reserve, the Bucs moved WR Chad Lucas from the practice squad to the active roster, where he will place additional pressure on Michael Clayton. They also shifted around their practice squad some more yesterday, but I can tell you stopped reading as soon as I started with the roster moves.

Now he'll have to do that sexy squinting from the sidelines.
