I Need To Start Paying More Attention

You know those Warner Brothers Cartoons where the main character (I think it was Bugs Bunny, but I'm not sure anymore) realizes he has done something stupid and turns into a jackass? That's me. Right now.
An astute reader named Mark pointed out the glaring problem in my entry on Phil Zimmerman. The problem is that I was not looking at his Power Rankings when I wrote the entry. I was looking at ESPN's Power Rankings. They're both titled the same thing and when I think of Power Rankings, I think of Dr. Z. This wouldn't be a problem for me if Dr. Z had the Bucs ranked in approximately the same way. But he doesn't.
Zimmerman has the Bucs ranked 19, four slots ahead of the ESPN rankings. He also has the three teams I singled out (Vikings, Eagles, Saints) ranked below the Bucs... where they should be. He does make it a point to highlight the whole Jon Gruden/Jeff Garcia playcalling non-issue that Pewter Report exposes in point #2 of their "Dirty Dozen" article. So for that, I'm not completely sorry. But I take back the "eat me" thing. For where he placed the Bucs and who was ranked around them, he does not deserve that kind of treatment.
As for the writers that determine the ESPN Power Rankings, eat me.
(equally astute reader Ryan also posted a comment to point out my jackassery while I was typing up this semi-retraction.)
