Preseason Game 3 Summary

After that five yard loss, Cadillac Williams started looking pretty good. Now if Jon Gruden would just call more than three running plays in a half, he could get on track.
Jeff Garcia was only 4 for 10 against the Dolphins, but he looked good scrambling and made plays when other quarterbacks on the roster would have taken a sack.
I'm not sure where in training camp they tell the wide receiver to go deep if the quarterback is in trouble, but it worked for Joey Galloway and Garcia. That must be something the two of them worked out because it definitely looked like they had done that before.
Speaking of the other quarterbacks, the one pass Chris Simms threw looked good even though it was dropped. Bruce Gradkowski looked good despite still not having the long ball accuracy. And Luke McCown looked much worse than in the two previous preseason games. Still, if I'm making out the roster, McCown gets the backup job.
Donald Penn had no control over Matt Roth. Roth's interception is Penn's fault for allowing him to hang around in Garcia's passing lane.
Tampa Bay is not keeping four quarterbacks. Please stop trying to convince me that they are.
Greg Spires started at right defensive end. Weird.
Cato June's theft of Ronnie Brown's reception (it went in the books as an interception, but June ripped the ball out of Brown's hands) was six kinds of awesome. Those are the kinds of plays that defined the 2002 season.
The Buccaneer defense gave up an 18-play drive. Eighteen plays.
Jovan Haye took a huge step backward against the Dolphins. He was practically invisible.
Ryan Nece looks like he's settling down in the middle finally. For a guy so far along in his career, he really is playing a lot of the preseason. Maybe it's helping.
What got into Mark Jones? Why can't he return kicks like that in the regular season?
