This morning's practice was called off, meaning that training camp is officially over. I won't make a special post about yesterday's practice. Half of it was inside and no real new information was learned. The only interesting part is that when Paul Hackett was meeting with the quarterbacks discussing hand signals, Chris Simms was not with them.
The end of camp also means Jake Plummer's fines for not showing up stop accruing. By the Fine-O-Meter's count, Jake will owe the Buccaneers $294,000 for 21 days missed. That's in addition to the signing bonus he will eventually have to return. In all, it's probably about $7.5 million. Is a seventh round pick worth $7.5 million cash, even though there is no salary cap benefit? The Glazers probably think so.
