Kenyatta Walker Is Employed, In Trouble

In a move that took a month and clearly demonstrates how desperate they are for depth on their offensive line, the Panthers signed Kenyatta Walker to a one-year deal that will thankfully keep him from continuing to beg for change on the corner of Polk and Florida. He was really starting to stink.

The angle to this story that was missed when Walker worked out for the Panthers last month is exactly how much Kris Jenkins hates him. Which, as it turns out, is a lot.

"I'm saying he sucks. There's no question about it, he's garbage. He's horrible."

God, I hope he's a distraction. I hope his very presence causes Jenkins and Julius Peppers such grief that they have to roll Walker up in a carpet and throw him off a bridge just to maintain their concentration. And then, of course, they would be suspended, deeply crippling the Carolina defensive line. It may be that Kenyatta Walker can do more for the Buccaneers as a Panther than he ever did as a Buc.

As a sidenote, how must David Carr feel knowing that Peppers's own, personal revolving door may at some point this season be entrusted to protect his already broken and twitchy body? Is Xanax on the banned substance list? Carr should find out.

Did anyone notice that Walker got a job before Simeon Rice?
