Joey Galloway: Has had one of the best camps of any player, regardless of position. Crisp routes, still very fast and shows no signs of fatigue. Of course, he's only working one practice per day, but whatever it takes.

Michael Clayton: Has had a better camp than he did last year. He has had some drops, but overall still looks good. He seems to be playing with a renewed sense of urgency.

David Boston: Could make a run at Comeback Player of the Year if he plays in games the way he is playing in practice. Fast, sharp and freaking huge. A drop here or there, but nothing to be alarmed about. He seems to have developed a nice rapport with Jeff Garcia.

Ike Hilliard: Has had a quiet but consistent camp. He really works the slants hard and makes tough catches.

Maurice Stovall: Continued his development from last season and has done everything right. He has played at every receiver spot, can outjump anyone and is physical enough to shed the first tackler.

Paris Warren: Warren has worked mostly the flanker position and has been victimized by either poor passes or excellent defense. Warren obviously has talent, but the roster is pretty deep this year. He's on the bubble.

Chas Gessner: Just like last year, Gessner has made some splash plays in camp. He'll be given a chance to shine in the preseason and, along with Warren, may be able to push for a roster spot. But don't count on it.

Chad Owens: Was mostly brought in to be a return man and he has put the ball on the ground too often to be considered. He made a few good catches in camp, but nothing that will get him a spot.

Mark Jones: He got a lot of work this year at receiver. His work as a returner will help him keep his roster spot, but he will have to show some improvement as a receiver. Jon Gruden is obviously looking for players who can work multiple roles and won't continue to have patience for too many specialists.

Chad Lucas: He has gotten some work in the return game and has caught some nice, deep passes in the last few days. Unfortunately, his work with Chris Simms has held him back. He also was singled out by Rich Bissacia for muffing a kickoff. That may be the nail in the coffin.

Kyle Smith: Hasn't done much, honestly. The only time I heard anything about him is when he had a drop.

Jovon Bouknight: Who?

Making the team: Galloway (starter), Stovall (starter), Clayton, Hilliard, Boston, Jones. If they keep seven, I'll say Warren gets the nod again.
