Jake Plummer Needs Money

The Buccaneers have finally responded to the five-month long middle finger that Jake Plummer was giving them by filing a grievance against him for a prorated portion of his signing bonus, or about $7 million. The Broncos are apparently part of this as well.

The Broncos are believed to have joined forces with the Bucs to avoid questions as to whether the Bucs have a legal right to money originally paid by the Broncos. It's possible the teams have an agreement under which the Broncos would send their portion of any recouped money to Tampa Bay.

Seems like the Broncos are going out of their way to help the Bucs, which seems weird. Do the Broncos have an angle here where they can benefit, or are they just hate Plummer so much that they want to make sure he is fucked either way? The Buccaneers own Jake Plummer's contract. Plummer no longer has anything to do with the Broncos. Plummer's obligations are to the Bucs now, and any money he owes due to a breach of contract is owed to the Bucs. How many soccer players does $7 million buy? I'll bet it's a lot.

This is what you're missing, Tampa. Try to keep your sobbing to a minimum.
