Read the rest of this story »Jeff Davis was one of the best players on some of the worst teams in history. He was the Buccaneers middle linebacker during the mid-80s and started every game between 1984 and 1986. There were very few bright spots during that time, especially 1986. Many of today's Division 1-A teams would walk all over those 1986 Buccaneers, and I say that without a trace of exaggeration. Davis performed well, though, and finished his career ranking third in Bucs history for tackles. He will be inducted to the College Football Hall of Fame on December 4. Congratulations to Jeff.

Jon Gruden says Paris Warren is done for the year. Gruden seemed to think Warren sustained a badly dislocated ankle, but most seemed to think it was a broken leg. Either way, it was a tough break for a kid who made great strides in the game before his injury.
