Rick Stroud Was Pwned

And I swear never to use that term again.
Bruce Allen went on the record to refute Rick Stroud's story that Chris Simms was sore and didn't practice and was taking anti-inflammatories and had some weird condition called "proprioception". None of it was true, and this press conference with Allen is six kinds of awesome.
Q: It said he didn't work in the team (drills).
BA: He worked in the ... I know what your report said, Dr. Stroud (Rick Stroud). And he did practice with the team today and yesterday.Q: Is he suffering from proprioception disorder, whatever you might want to call it? Is that something that the team is more or less [Allen interrupts]
BA: I think you ought to look up [reporter interrupts]Q: I have. I'm asking you if this is something your team [Allen interrupts]
BA: I think if you look it up you'll find out that it's really not the right correlation between his condition.Q: What is the right correlation to his condition?
BA: He's a football player.
As a reporter, Allen's cold responses and non-answer answers must be frustrating. But as an observer, they're hilarious. Do yourself a favor and read the whole transcript. Interestingly enough, TBO.com reprinted the conference in its entirety, but I can't seem to find it on The Times. They did, however, run a story acknowledging Allen's statements, but insist that the sore arm is for real.
The sore arm is unusual for Simms, who has been known to throw every day during the off-season without incident.
The sore arm is the only part of the story I believed and went with yesterday, and I still contend that regardless of the reason, Simms looks the worst of the four quarterbacks so far in camp. He will be cut or put on IR if that continues to be the case.
