Yesterday Was Busy

As Expected, Jake Plummer did not show up to camp yesterday. But Jon Gruden said on Thursday that he took a trip to Idaho to meet with Plummer earlier in the summer.

Coach Jon Gruden revealed Thursday he traveled to Idaho for a face-to-face meeting after a minicamp in June, taking his wife, Cindy, with him.

The biggest surprise there is that Idaho has an airport. Gruden did not reveal exactly what was discussed, saying only that "We're trying to convince him to continue playing." Bruce Allen added to the story, implying that Plummer will be fined for every day he stays away from camp.

"There are consequences to not reporting to camp," Allen said. "We will treat him like any other person that would hold out from our camp."

Those consequences generally cost $14,000/day.

Also, as expected, the Bucs signed Arron Sears and Sabby Piscitelli yesterday, leaving Plummer as the sole holdout.
