Jerry Reese Is Classy

Remember when Luke Petitgout said he was a little bit upset about how his dismissal from the Giants was handled? Giants GM Jerry Reese apparently has no regrets.
"People are so worried about left tackle . . . I think that's so overrated," Reese said. "People act like Petitgout was the second coming. He never made the Pro Bowl, and I don't think he ever was a first alternate. Now all of a sudden he's the savior? That's ridiculous. I don't think we're that bad off without Luke Petitgout. He was not a star left tackle. He was a solid left tackle on some occasions and other times he wasn't. Luke has been a marginal player for a long time."
Did Petitgout slap Reese's mama on his way out of town? Is it a racial thing? Kenyatta Walker was Julius Peppers's personal revolving door, but you won't hear Bruce Allen say anything negative about him. That's my job. With Jerry Reese's apparent crippling insecurities that cause him to get defensive over nothing, Tom Coughlin's explosive violent temper and no Tiki Barber to hold the whole thing together, it should be a banner year for the Giants. At least they have Eli Manning. You know, he has been improving, so they might -- sorry, couldn't keep a straight face. The Giants are losing 17 games this year.
Besides, considering where the Bucs are coming from, I'll take "marginal". At this point I'd take a 300 pound brick of slightly warm cheese. They just really need to keep Jeff Garcia upright.
