Bucs Sign Black (All He Needed Was The Money)

As expected, Quincy Black was the next rookie to sign with the Bucs, making way for every local publication to make their "in the black" puns and reference AC/DC's "Back in Black"... things that this site is clearly above. This leaves only their top three picks unsigned, but with less than two days before camp, we may be looking at a brief holdout from Gaines Adams while the top five or six overall picks all wait around for someone to make the first move.

To make room for Black, the team released... wait for it... quarterback Zac Taylor! It may be kind of funny that the Bucs are "down to" six quarterbacks on the roster, but there still isn't any confidence that things would be ok if Jeff Garcia got injured. I have heard that Daunte Culpepper's knee condition is such that he may not even be available to play at all in 2007, which may explain why both the Falcons and the Jaguars have lost interest in signing him. It's looking more and more like the Bucs are going to have to live with Chris Simms and Bruce Gradkowski as backups this season.

Quincy Black will bench press your whole family.
