Tomlin Gets Mouthy… Maybe

Mike Tomlin was talking about former training camps he has been a part of.

He also noted that in his five seasons as a Tampa Bay Buccaneers assistant, the team held camp in "miserably hot" weather and that coach Jon Gruden ran a "miserable camp down there."

I'm not sure if Tomlin is saying that Bucs camp was miserable because of the way Gruden ran it or if USA Today is just taking his words out of context to make it look that way. It's hard to tell, but Tomlin hasn't been shy about slamming Tampa Bay because they would not release Rod Marinelli or Joe Barry from their contracts in previous years, so I can believe he would say something like that about Gruden. In which case, Tomlin should consider how many Super Bowl rings he won that didn't come off of a Gruden-led training camp.
