Philadelphia Hates Jake Plummer, Everyone Else

Remember that article in the Colorado Springs Gazette by Jake Plummer's professional stalker? The Philadelphia Enquirer picked it up yesterday and ran it... except not all of it. Whereas the original version ended by congratulating Jake on his decision to not go for the cash and staying true to himself (or some other fanboy bullshit... Jesus, Ramsey, buy some objectivity), the Philly version ends like this:
It wasn't just Plummer's mistakes on the field. He could be an unruly brat. He flipped off a fan at Invesco Field, tumbled into a nasty traffic dispute in south Denver, and cussed out a gossip columnist. He did a magnificent job of hiding his best side.
Ha! They even cut it off in mid-paragraph, right before he talks about Plummer's charity work. Can you do that? Can you license an article and then just hack off half of it to change the tone? Don't get me wrong; the part that was omitted was pure drivel, but that seems shady. Is there some Philadelphia/Plummer feud I haven't heard about? Leave a comment if you have some insight as to why the Philadelphia Inquirer might single him out like this.
