If you're a fan of past and present Buccaneers who love Jesus, this has been a week to write home about. On the heels of Tony Dungy's much more publicized book is the announcement of Josh Bidwell's, "When It's Fourth and Long", which will be released August 1. In it, Bidwell tells his life story and how his religion helped him through tough times. You can preorder the book from Amazon with this link if you're so inclined. For reasons I can't fully explain, Bidwell is one of my favorite players currently on the team.

Did you know the Bidwells had a baby boy four months ago? There's just all kinds of stuff he's not telling us. He's probably also a super hero by night who protects the streets of Tampa by drop-kicking footballs into the heads of fleeing criminals. "You're not going anywhere!" he says in a voice about an octave deeper than the one he uses for his day job. Then he ties up the suspects with the chain they use to measure first downs and disappears right before the police arrive, leaving behind a note that says, "Courtsey of your friendly neighborhood punter". Then, of course, he takes a cab home because he can't fly. Come on, that would just be silly.

Seems like it's always fourth and long lately.
