Shelton Quarles Wants To Give/Stay Home

Shelton Quarles commented briefly on the future of his career:
Quarles also has been weighing his options since the Bucs released him in April. He said he has received calls from several teams, but they are "too far away." He will decide in the next couple of weeks whether he will retire.
So, I suppose unless Miami or Jacksonville calls him, he'll pack it in. It would be kind of weird to see Quarles in a different uniform anyway.
That was the only football-related item in the whole article. Can you believe it?!? The rest of it selfishly focused on how Quarles "helped a family in need" and his "generous humanitarian efforts" and how he's "constantly giving back to the community". Jeez. I mean, why is it even in the sports section?
(Seriously, though, check out one of the homes he built in Nashville in 2005 in conjunction with Warrick Dunn's Home For The Holidays program. You need to see the expressions on the family's faces to really gain an appreciation for the difference it makes in someone's life. Go to Habitat For Humanity for more information.)
