Bruce Gradkowski Knows How To Answer The Plummer Question

Posed with the same question as Jeff Garcia was yesterday, Bruce Gradkowski gave an admittedly blander, yet much more respectable answer.
"I did think about it yesterday about how crazy it would be if he showed up, but I'm not too worried about that," Gradkowski said of Plummer. "If he was here, hey, the better it is for our team. We're trying to get better this year. Whoever we have to bring in to do that, the better we'll be."
Some people will say that Garcia showed more emotion than Gradkowski with his answer and therefore cares more about winning the starting spot. Those people should be kicked in the balls. When you are emotional and shoot your mouth off towards an opponent or some other team enemy, it implies team solidarity and shows you off as a fiery leader. When you mouth off about your own teammates and imply that your backups belong on the bench, it portrays you as selfish and not so much interested in how the team fares as a whole.
Many of Garcia's former teammates have said that he is the consummate team player and a great leader and I'm pretty sure he just let one fly yesterday probably because he's tired of being constantly linked to a player who hasn't bothered to show up despite an active contract. But Gradkowski wins this round of Media Jeopardy.
