Shoeless Cadillac Williams

Say what?

In an effort to strengthen the muscles in his feet and improve his overall balance, the Bucs have had Williams running in tennis shoes and sometimes with no shoes at all.

Remember barefoot kickers? Could a fad of barefoot running backs be on the verge of sweeping the NFL? Reebok would be furious as runners auction off foot tattoos to the highest bidders, medical specialists would be brought in just to treat puncture wounds, and "athlete's foot" products would see a revival in their sales as they scramble to sign barefoot running backs to eight-figure ad campaigns.

I really should have slept some last night.

I tried kicking a field goal barefoot once. My foot was swollen for about two days afterwards. Oh, and I shanked the kick, too. These are the kinds of things you do when you live right behind the football field on college.
